The “Main Matsuri” was founded in 2018.
It organizes japanese cultural events in Frankfurt and Offenbach and is committed to the dissemination of japanese culture and the
promotion of mutual understanding.
The “Main Matsuri” brings traditional japanese culture and pop culture closer to the local people on various stages and events with over 30.000 visitors.
In addition, a Japanese-German business dialog entitled “KAI KȎ (Encounter)” is held in conjunction with this festival.
In spring, a cherry blossom-inspired event is also held to showcase Japanese culture rooted in the region.
As a cultural event, “Main Matsuri” contributes to the dissemination of japanese culture and the promotion of mutual understanding and friendship between the two countries.
The Foreign Minister's Award is presented to individuals or organizations who, among the many people active in various fields of international relations
